What is Scritly?

Scritly is a handwriting and note-taking app designed for Android e-ink tablets. It gives you a fast, distraction-free writing experience with cloud sync so your notes are always available on the web.

Which devices are supported?

Scritly currently works on the following devices:

• BOOX Note Air series (Note Air 2, Note Air 3, Note Air 4)
• BOOX Max Lumi 2

We're working on supporting more Android e-ink tablets. If your device isn't listed, give it a try — it may already work! If not, let us know at info@scritly.app and we'll look into adding support.

What plans are available?

Scritly offers three options:

• Free - Unlimited local notes, up to 15 cloud notes synced, 5 Quick Sign signatures per month, and 2 custom templates. No payment required.
• One-time Purchase - A single payment of €9 via iDEAL Wero or credit card. Unlocks the LAN server permanently and all premium features for one year. After the year, you keep a generous lifetime fallback. No account required - you can buy it directly and activate with a code on your device.
• Subscription - €1.50/month or €14.50/year. Up to 150 cloud notes synced, unlimited Quick Sign, unlimited templates, cloud sync, web access, and LAN server.

What is the lifetime fallback?

If you make a one-time purchase, you get full premium features for one year. After that year, even if you don't renew, you keep permanent access to the LAN server and an increased note limit. You never lose what you've paid for.

What's included in the free tier?

• Unlimited local notes on your device
• Up to 15 cloud notes synced
• 5 Quick Sign signatures per month
• 2 custom templates

Does cloud sync require a subscription?

Basic cloud sync is available on all plans, including Free (up to 15 notes). A subscription increases the cloud limit to 150 notes and unlocks additional features like web access, unlimited Quick Sign, and unlimited templates. Local notes on your device are always unlimited.

How does the LAN server work?

The LAN server lets you access your notes from any browser on your local network - no internet required. Start it from the Settings screen on your tablet, then open the displayed URL on your computer or phone. The LAN server requires a paid plan (one-time purchase or subscription).

To unlock it with the one-time purchase: visit the pricing page, click "Buy Now" on the one-time purchase card, and complete the payment. You'll receive an activation code - enter it on your device under Settings → "I have an activation code".

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime from the pricing page. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. No questions asked.
